The lovely staff at Ward 19 & 20 (pediatrics), helped my son during an asthma attack and provided an excellent level of care. I felt reassured and communicated to well throughout and felt my son's care was of high importance to them. We had to stay at the hospital for 4 days, and he was frequently monitored and given nebulizer & and oxygen. I believe this teams hard work and commitments to my son's health saved his life.
At my request, Anne Marie (Asthma Nurse) provided a review of my son's current asthma plan and increased his medicine, which has improved the quality of his life immensely. I have also had a follow up telephone call, as promised, to review my son's condition since leaving the hospital and going back to normal routine. Anne Marie has been so amazing and reassuring and answered all my questions and concerns, and put in place a plan that has given my son a new lease of life.
Dr Sie, was an amazing consultant, who took my concerns seriously and genuinely cared for my son's health. He provided an allergy test (which I have wanted for some time, but other health professionals were unwilling to provide this). Dr Sie not only helped my son at the hospital, but his onward care, an allergy test was done at the hospital and, as promised, Dr Sie wrote to me with the results, and plan going forward and future reviews.
I felt heard and seen by the staff and the care was beyond my expectations.
No one enjoys going to the hospital but this visit was essential for my son's care, but the kindness and care from all staff, made this difficult time, less stressful.
"Excellent care when my son had an asthma attack"
