"Excellent team"

I had a hysteroscopy as an outpatient at Perth Royal Infirmary.  I was extremely anxious about the whole procedure. I was reassured throughout. 

Prior to the procedure the Dr who was to undertake the procedure clearly explained in detail everything,  reassuring me that he would stop at anytime and alternatives could be looked at. He took a very detailed medical history and was fully aware of my case-all of which was immensely reassuring. 

Throughout the procedure both the Dr undertaking the procedure and nursing staff talked me through what was happening, checked in with me and offered me gas and air option should I feel uncomfortable.

The procedure is not pleasant, however the treatment, care and compassion I received ensured I felt safe and cared for and I was able to go through the procedure as comfortably as possible. I was respected throughout and my dignity ensured.

Excellent team. If I had to go through this again I would not hesitate to have it done with the support of this team.
