"Support during this trying and tiring time."

About: Raigmore Hospital

(as a service user),

I recently had a heart attack which was closely followed by a couple of strokes whilst in CCU in Raigmore. My speech has been affected.

I've been excellently support by Jane (Speech and Language Therapist) during my time in hospital and she has continued to follow me up by telephone now that I am home.

She provided me with a contact telephone number should I need to reach her at any time. Jane was very approachable and friendly and helped reassure me that my speech will improve (as it has done).

She followed up whenever she said she would. I felt respected and felt she was skilled at her work. I am very grateful that I have had her support during this trying and tiring time.

I am part of the overall team who manages complaints for NHS Highland and are known as the Feedback Team. We offer patients, relatives, MPs/MSPs, staff and anyone who requires assistance is registering a concern or formal complaint.

It is always a pleasure to receive such kind comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients.
