After having a less-than-ideal experience with my first knee replacement surgery, I was naturally apprehensive about undergoing revision surgery. However, I am so pleased to say that this time was entirely different.
From start to finish, every staff member who cared for me was fantastic. I felt safe, informed, and listened to throughout the entire process. Thankfully, I only had to stay one night at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, and the nursing staff at the National Treatment Centre were excellent in managing my pain relief and ensuring I was comfortable.
While it is still early days and I am experiencing acute post-operative pain, I can already feel a difference in how my knee feels and moves. I am forever grateful to Mr. Murray for seeing me and listening to my concerns. After a review with him and the all-clear from the physiotherapist, I was discharged and left feeling very grateful for the care I received.
Thank you again to all staff for their care and attention, it is very much appreciated.
