"Excellent Care - Endoscopy Clinic"

About: Rotherham Hospital

I had a colonoscopy last week. I was dreading it but it was fine. The Plenvu prep wasn't pleasant and the 2nd dose was the worst but I stayed close to the loo and coped. I stuck to the diet for 3 days as instructed and I think that helped.

I had sedation as I have had bowel surgery in the past and there were concerns over scar tissue causing problems. I would recommend it, I was awake and aware, and able to watch the screen but I didn't feel anything.

Big thank you to all the staff in the dept. They were all professional and efficient but also very friendly and kind and put me at ease. If you are having a colonoscopy my advice would be read the instructions and follow them to the letter, then listen to the staff, they will guide you through the procedure, it is all over fairly quickly and you get a lovely cuppa (or 2) in recovery.

Thanks to all in the Dept.
