"Me and my fiancee having our first baby."

About: First Steps Programme

(as a parent/guardian),

We felt terrified and scared about the possibilities of being parents, it was our first child. However, when we met Maria our worries started to fade away as she offered great support, knowledge and respect for our decisions as parents.

She made us feel confident and gave us a boost! I feel we learned a lot from our meetings and she was so understanding and a really happy, bright individual that made me feel good about myself.

Without Marias help I feel we wouldn't have been able to continue with a stress free journey. I feel having first steps workers really would give the parents/parent a new shimmer of hope and guidance, as it is a terrifyingly beautiful experience.

Hi inspirenq86

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with the First Steps Programme.

As you say, being first time parents can be a scary and terrifying time. I was so pleased to read however that Maria provided you with the guidance and support to relieve some of they fears for you which in turn has increased you and your partners confidence to look after your little one.

I hope you are all settling well into family life and I will ensure Maria and the rest of the First Steps team are made aware of your lovely feedback.

Helen xx
