This was the second time I've had a blood test here. The first time was excellent; minimal wait time and friendly professional service from the nurse/doctor.
My second visit today was different. Again, I was seen promptly after the check-in process. However, this time, the nurse just shouted 'next' from the room. I entered and said 'hello'. There was no reply. I was given no instruction so just rolled up my sleeve and the nurse took the blood after saying 'small scratch'. On completion the nurse applied two plasters. The nurse didn't say anything else so after a short pause I asked 'ok?'. The nurse said 'ok' so I left.
We all have off-days but I felt this was a rather rude exchange. I'm sure the nursing team are busy but it would be nice to have more of a polite, human element during the visit.
"Why so rude?"
