"Absolutely 10/10 for care and understanding."

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

I had aortic valve replacement n March, done in Cromwell in London. I returned home to Scotland and was referred to the Cardiac Rehab team in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The cardiac team were all great,  very understanding and great patience, the rehab was fun as well as being important to my ongoing wellbeing.

I felt an improvement after a couple of weeks attending, better breathing and better stamina, which improved as the rehab continued.

Teresa is excellent in what she does,  as regards keeping everyone within their abilities, and not pushing anyone to over exercise but to exercise just enough to advance them every week. She has patience and understanding of all types of heart procedures (which was difficult for the team in my case as it was done Keyhole, (so a little bit different to the normal sternotomy) and works within the guidelines of peoples abilities.

Helen, was also very good and gave me reassurance about my high blood pressure which has been ongoing for a while, after my operation.

All in all this 10 week rehab was of great help to myself and others I met there, and was a positive experience in my life. Absolutely 10/10 for care and understanding.
