"I cannot fault the treatment/ care I have received"

About: West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital (Yorkhill) / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

I was experiencing shortness of breath and felt as though my heart was trying to get out of my chest, but I never told anyone until one evening it seemed worse than before.

After telling my wife I went to my GP who immediately referred me to the the rapid chest pain unit in Yorkhill.

I was seen within 2 weeks and diagnosed with angina.

I have to say that since my diagnosis, I cannot fault the treatment/ care I have received from the clinic to the cardiac rehab sessions.

Everyone has been so helpful and have made me feel at ease answering any questions I have thrown at them.

Thank you

Dear Stebon,

My name is Karen and I am one of the physiotherapists in the cardiac rehabilitation team at West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital, Yorkhill.

Thank you for sharing your story.

It's good to hear that with the support of your wife and your GP you were able to attend clinic and received a diagnosis. I'm very pleased you acted on your symptoms.

Questions are always welcomed by the cardiac rehabilitation team. I will pass onto the staff that you found their care helpful and that you felt at ease. This is really important for the team to know. Saying 'Thank you' means a lot to all our staff.

We are grateful that you took the time to share your story and we wish you well.

Kind regards

Karen
