"The nurses have all been wonderful."

About: District Nursing / New Milton Community

(as a service user),

I had an operation to have a nephrostomy fitted.

First of all my operation was scary, but I came out of it ok. Surgeon said it needs to stay for life, but later it was reconsidered.

Nurses started visiting 8 weeks later, regularly to drain the fluid at home. They were very good, there were no problems, everything was cleared up, no problems at all. Im quite happy.

The fluid started to stop, why no one seemed to know. This has been going on for several weeks, nurses checking for fluid, sometimes with no output. Eventually the fluid stopped, so I went to Bournemouth hospital to be reviewed. I am now still waiting for a date for this.

The nurses have been good keep visiting to patch me up. So I'm still waiting to hear from the hospital.

The nurses have all been wonderful.

Thank you for your kind feedback.

I am glad that the team have provided you with good care and continued to visit to ensure that you remain well and review your drain and dressing.

I hope that you hear from the hospital soon for you to establish your ongoing care.
