"The team pulled out all the stops"

About: Victoria Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a service user),

On the advice of my Oncologist, I was recently admitted to the ENT Ward in the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, after I developed dysphagia.

Apart from an issue with the layout of the en-suite bathroom in my room, I have to say that the care was excellent with all the staff the Doctors to the Domestics focused on the care of the patients. I was in the Hospital for just over a week and one young female Doctor barely seemed to be away from the ward.

I was admitted shortly before me and my family were due to go on holiday and the team pulled out all the stops to get my treatment arranged and completed as quickly so that we could still try and go.

I'm grateful to the whole Team not only for taking such great care of me but also for going the extra mile to give us the best chance of still getting away on our holiday.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It is lovely to hear such wonderful positive and constructive views of the team and the ENT ward.

I have taken your advice on the lack of shelving space and coat hooks within the En suite bathroom area and I am working on improving these areas.

It was a pleasure to meet you and I am delighted that we were able to get you away on your holiday.

Best wishes
