I just wanted to leave a huge thank you to the maternity team at Glasgow Princes Royal Maternity Hospital, with special mention to Sophie, Abbi & Rhona. The birth of our son was a wonderful experience in huge part to their care.
I was scheduled to be induced, however, upon arrival I was already on labour. A wonderful midwife (unfortunately do not have a note of their name) discussed pain relief with me and offered the birthing pool when I had apprehension surrounding the options available after a previous birth experience.
I was then taken to the labour suite where Sophie and Abbi ensured I had the birth environment I wanted and were supportive while letting me move through my labour instinctively.
The aftercare from Rhona was also excellent. My husband and I cannot thank you all enough.
The following evening, as I struggled to breastfeed, Sophie again offered an amazing level of care, advice and reassurance.
Having previously given birth at the hospital with my first son 2014, I can say that the level of care was far superior this time round and I am extremely grateful for such a positive birth experience.
