"it has changed my life"

About: Mental Health Community Services / Condition Management Programme

(as a service user),

I have been attending the Condition Management Programme (CMP) for the last few months and it has changed my life. I feel motivated to live again. My family are glad to have me back, not moping around in my room.

I am much more active now, I feel I have made a huge shift. I can use the tools and techniques I have been given such as grounding techniques, exposure exercises, experiments etc.

I also had  a lot of education on what food groups I should be eating to help me gain weight and I am looking forward to eating socially with my family again.

Now I can tidy my room, go for a walk,. go to appointments and get things organised in my life.

I feel confident ,I am no longer a nervous wreck.

I used to avoid all medical appointments and now I can go and get the help I need .I don't know how to thank the staff in CMP.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is great to learn that you have made such progress with support from CMP. You mention that you are more active and feel able to leave the house to exercise and to attend appointments. You have clearly worked hard to use the tools and techniques that the staff within the programme shared with you. We appreciate that it is often difficult for people to consider working alongside self- management programmes like CMP. You should be very proud of yourself for having the courage to overcome your initial concerns about taking on something new with CMP and take such an active role in understanding and managing your health and well- being.

We wish you well in your journey forward. I will make sure that the staff who worked with your in the programme get to see your feedback.

best wishes

Sinead, CMP Team Lead.
