My daughter recently had an appointment. After seeing the doctor, they gave her antibiotics or so I thought. I went to the pharmacy and they hadn’t sent it across. I was told to come back. I called the pharmacy and they still hadn’t received it over an hour later. I tried to call the surgery but I had more than 5 people ahead of me in the queue. So I decided to just drive there (bearing in mind I had my sick daughter with me) there was no member of staff on the phone at the surgery. I had to wait at the surgery for 20 mins for the script to be sent.
The pharmacy finally had the prescription but the dose was wrong!
A member of staff from the pharmacy went up to find out, they told me to call back after 3pm when everyone is back from lunch to see if the doctor changes the dose.
After a call to the pharmacy at 3:30pm confirming they now have the medicine with the new dose, my husband made his way to collect it.
Upon getting there the pharmacy said they don’t know what the doctor is playing at but there is no dose on the medicine. Then it was my job to call the surgery and wait in the queue of over 5 people to find out the dosage.
My child was sick and had not had any medicine over 6 hours since the appointment.
