About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Surgical Skin Team General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as the patient),

I was fortunate enough to receive the services of Forth Valley Hospital after waiting 2 years at Ayrshire and Arran for surgery on my top lip. 

Although not life-threatening, it was having an impact on my quality of life.  The surgeon, Mr Clark, was exceptional - compassionate and gentle (I have had this surgery before when it was much more painful!) and the nursing team of David, Maureen and Pamela caring and skilful putting me at ease although I was very anxious. 

I would also like to thank the nurse at my own practice, The Surgery @ 9 Alloway Place, Ayr, for looking after me so well when the wound refused to stop bleeding over the following 2 days.  I feel very lucky to have had such care which could not have been better.

I am sorry to hear that you had some trouble with your wound following your surgery but it is heartening to hear that you were so well looked after during this time by the nursing team at your own GP Practice, The Surgery @ 9 Alloway Place.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback and it would be my pleasure to share your lovely words with the team at 9 Alloway Place, in particular with the nursing team. This is a great example of the person centred care we strive to achieve.

Dear Grateful,

What a pleasure to read your review and hear that the service across both Health boards was up to scratch. Thank you for sharing.

It was reassuring to see how well the area was healing on Tuesday. Hopefully everything carries on as planned and you have no further problems when the sutures come out this week.

You know our number should you need us for anything.
