"Made such a difference to me"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29)

(as a service user),

Just wanted to send a quick message to say how amazing the care I received in Ward 24 was. The nurses and auxiliaries are all clearly run off their feet but still make sure that all the patients are well looked after.

Also, my ERAS Nurse Amy made my whole hospital journey a lot easier and more comfortable. I met her before my operation at pre-assessment where she went through everything with me, what to expect, how she would help etc.

It was great to have a familiar, friendly face. When I had had my op she was so attentive, seeing me every day, helping with my abdominal dressings, pain relief and helping me get up and about and feeling more like myself.

Amy is invaluable to Ward 24 and to her patients and they are lucky to have someone like her. Thanks so much Amy, you made such a difference to me when I was recovering.
