"Unacceptable meals"

My elderly Mother was admitted as an inpatient to Wishaw University Hospital for just over a week. The care from medical staff was very good but her experience was ruined by the meals. I wish the people responsible for the meals would be forced to survive on them for a week or longer. The soup, which seemed to be prepared using fresh ingredients, was inedible as it was consistently over salted. At every meal there is an incredible amount of food wasted with meals being uneaten. It’s not acceptable for patients and it’s a huge wasted cost. My Mother was an inpatient for three weeks earlier this year and lost over seven pounds in weight.
