"Professional, caring and welcoming…"

About: NHS Highland (Health)

(as the patient),

I am one of the many fortunate patients to receive out of region treatment at the National Treatment Centre (NTC) in Inverness.

This is my second major operation at the NTC within twelve months as an NHSG patient.

Patient care at this centre is second to none, procedures are flawless from start to finish and a true reflection of the NHS at its best.

My initial surgery at the NTC was for a full hip replacement following a two year wait on NHS Grampian’s waiting list, thankfully my recent knee replacement surgery was arranged within six months from referral.

I fully appreciate the stress and demands on our NHS, however the NTC gives us hope that all patients may one day have full access to professional patient care going forward.

The NTC is a success story and none more so than their professional care and handling of patients. Given time, this will hopefully reduce our lengthy regional waiting lists and put a stop to forcing patients down the private care route.

Once again, many thanks for all your help and care following my recent knee replacement surgery.  A special thank you to Mr Thangaraj and his team, you really are the best! Keep up the good work!

Kind regards,

M
