My daughter was admitted to ward 3B after a quick stop in A&E. She stayed in this ward for almost 2 weeks. From the beginning, the staff treated her with respect, dignity and compassion.
Considering the circumstances, this was much needed. From the cleaners who visited every day, to the staff who took our food orders, the play assistant who kept her entertained and busy, the students from GCU who chatted and took their time to talk to my daughter, the health care support workers who offered kind words and a caring set of extra hands for tasks, to the amazing nurses who went above and beyond, the volunteers who visited from the children’s charity and the clown doctors - all who made us laugh and forget where we were in that moment.
We cannot thank you enough for everything you all have done. There are too many names to mention and I would hate to leave someone out, but there was nobody on that ward that we interacted with who we had any negative experiences with. They were all brilliant. Keep up the excellent work.
"They were all brilliant"
