"Really Awful"

About: Grove Park Surgery

I was advised I needed blood tests which were taken on 22nd October. The results are available on the NHS app but with no medical training or knowledge are not understandable to a lay person. The only part I understand is a couple of the results are called “ abnormal “ and I should speak to a doctor. So far ok but the first appointment to speak to a doctor is 25th November. I am hoping if there was anything seriously wrong they would contact me but of course I don’t know. Bearing in mind I very rarely use the practice I think this level of service is appalling. I would happily go private directly but this also seems to be difficult as I need the blood test results before contacting BUPA.

Grove Park surgery used to have a great reputation. Although I didn’t use it much it was highly respected. Now you barely hear a good word about it.

Would I change practice if I could ? Absolutely.

Please let me reassure you that we robust processes for managing test results which are safety netted and audited to ensure compliance and that are managed by the GPs and reviewed daily and if any result is abnormal it will be reviewed by the doctor who ordered your test and a plan made and you will be contacted.
