"Confidentiality, advice and information"

This Centre at Wallacetown appears to be run well.

However, 2 points : 

1. Patient confidentiality 

Lack of confidentiality about health matters - asked about personal health information while sitting in a small room with 2 other patients and several members of staff. 

2. Lack of advice / information 

No information offered or given about Covid vaccine eg type.

Good afternoon Scozia,

thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback which is an excellent way for us to ensure improvements are made where possible.

In regards to your 2nd point, I am disappointed to hear about the lack of information, and I have discussed this with staff at this mornings huddle to ensure all staff are aware of the importance of citizens feeling well informed.

As the service has recently moved into Wallacetown Health centre, this is the first time we have ran one of our campaigns from the building and although lots has gone very well, there is room for improvement.

We are aware that the rooms are causing some concern, and are identifying ways this can be rectified whilst still ensuring we are able to see the large amount of citizens required in a very short time frame. As a first step, while we still have a high footfall over the next 3 weeks, we will remove one of the tables and place a screen between citizens, much like the environment in Zara which should help in the very short term. We have also placed a sign at reception making citizens aware to let us know if they would prefer a private room for vaccination.

As soon as activity allows, we will move to 1 citizen per room, and assess how future high activity campaigns can be run to ensure as much privacy as possible whilst still ensuring that citizens are vaccinated in a timely manner.
