About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

Mum in a& e for 2 dys should have been sent home sent to ward instead. Took her back at 9.30 pm in cold and rain. Nobody answers phone to update on care. Second time in 12 months I actually slept in the corridor with her in March and I am over 70. I did leave a better review but it said I couldn’t use website…. I didn’t !

Good afternoon,

Firstly, apologies in the lateness in responding.

We are very sorry to hear that your mother did not have a good experience whilst visiting the A&E Department at NGH, and that you had to sleep with her in the corridor. That must have been very distressing for you both.

I will ensure your feedback is sent immediately to the Senior Management Team within A&E for them to review.

If you would like to speak to someone about this please contact the Patient Experience Department at ngh-tr.PatientExperience@nhs.net and we will do our best to help.

With warm regards

Sara Francis
