"Excellent service"

About: Borders Community Services / District Nursing Borders General Practices

(as a service user),

On holiday in the Scottish Borders when my wife experienced a total blockage of her catheter.

I called the local health centre on Lauder and the lady I spoke to could not have been nicer or more helpful, I was given the District Nurse number in Melrose and an equally helpful lady took my details for the nursing team.

As promised, the Nurse called and arranged for a Nurse to visit and change the catheter in our lodge. The nurse who attended was excellent, a lovely person.

The whole experience was dealt with in a most professional manner, a real credit to the NHS. Thanks to all involved.

Dear Fookaybird

Thank you for taking the time to provide such positive feedback in relation to the Lauder GP practice and the community nursing team. It would have been a worry for you both being away from home and pleased that your wife's catheter blockage was resolved. I will pass on your positive feedback to the practice and the nursing team. I hope you enjoy the rest of your break.

Kind Regards

Philip
