"A brilliant facility"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre Victoria Hospital / Pre-assessment

(as the patient),

I had my pre-op, all the nurses were lovely and took great care explaining what was going to happen. 1 week later I received a phone call for a cancellation, which I jumped at the chance🥳.

On the Monday morning I was first for surgery with Mr Rehman. I had a general so knew nothing of what went on and woke with a bionic hip🦿

Was taken up to the ward where I was looked after by the lovely nurses. I was hoping to get out the same day but my blood pressure dropped when I was doing the physio so that was that.

I got out the next day and have had a better sleep 😴 the National treatment centre is a brilliant facility for Fife 🤗

Dear Tinflint,

My name is Tanya I am one of the charge nurses here at The National Treatment Centre.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback for us.

I am delighted to hear that you received a cancellation one week after your pre assessment.

I am so pleased to hear that you felt all of our nurses were lovely. We aim to be kind and caring and provide the highest quality of care to all of our patient's here at the National Treatment Centre.

It is such a shame that your blood pressure dropped and this prevented you from going home on the same day as it sounds like you were geared up and ready to go. I can only hope that you enjoyed your overnight stay with us and I am glad to hear that you were discharged home the following day and home to a better sleep in your own bed.

Thank you for your comments we strive to be a great facility to not only our patient's in Fife but those in Lothian also. We appreciate all feedback as this is what strives us to continue to improve our patient's journeys and environment.

I will share this feedback with all of our team who will greatly appreciate it.

On behalf of myself and our team here at The National Treatment Centre we wish you the best in your recovery.

Best Wishes

Tanya McTaggart
