"Grateful for the help and dedication received"

(as a service user),

After breaking my ankle/foot which resulted in complications,I have been housebound for the last 2 years. The only time that I leave the house is for medical appointments with the help of the excellent Patient Transport team.

Over the past couple of months I have had regular visits from a physiotherapist, Cath.

She has been so helpful in assisting my rehabilitation in getting to walk again.Always friendly and encouraging, she has helped by giving me an exercise program, helpful advice, and most impressively, arranging for some equipment to make things easier.

Cath arranged for a hospital-type bed to be delivered, and also for a step to be fitted at the back door.At the time, she could not give me delivery dates, but stated that it could take a bit of time.

I was therefore somewhat amazed when I received a phone that week stating that my bed was ready for delivery;this was duly done,at my convenience,8 days following Caths’ request.

Within the same period,my step was also fitted.

I am so grateful to the team, and especially Cath, for helping me to have a better quality of life and for the speed in which things were done.

As a result,(of the exercise and encouragement),I am managing to walk much more around the house, and the bed,and step, have have been a great help.

I am so very grateful for the help and dedication received from the team.

Thank-you
