"Have a little compassion for the practice"

About: Ireland Wood Surgery

Came here to leave a review and I can't believe some of the things I've read. I work for the NHS and I think it's really sad that so many people have such little patience with a practice that has served our community so well for decades.

I had a brilliant appointment this week with a GP who couldn't have been more helpful, I was seen quickly after having a call from the triage GP and given the medicine I needed to get better.

I think most patients don't understand the pressure that GP practices and their staff are under, and it makes me really sad to see the receptionists being shouted at and belittled. Working in the NHS is really hard, and I for one would like the croft to know that I appreciate what you do.

Thank you for everything you do for the patients in horsforth and I'm sorry so many people don't appreciate it. If the NHS goes down the pan and suddenly GP services become privatised, I imagine that patients will finally see what a great job you've all done for us.

Thank you to the GP who spoke to me, make me a face to face appointment and then got me on the right treatment straight away! I am feeling much better! Extremely efficient service and a lovely practice. Thanks also to the receptionist who was extremely kind to me on the phone as I was quite upset when I first rang.
