I recently attended the long Covid service, 16 months ago I became increasingly unwell and doctors have battled to figure out what is happening and why, this is where they’ll landed on long covid, after attending my appointment I had a huge sigh of relief knowing that I had someone who was understanding of my pain and what I am going through and what challenges and barriers I am not left facing.

I need this service, so I can get better, so I have support general practices don’t understand long Covid and don’t have the time to treat/ support and help people like myself with the condition.

We need the service to thrive, a doctor who does have specialism in this service too.. long Covid has been hard for myself and my family.. but this service is the one I need to help get my life back on the right track.. before this virus I was a runner and gym attendee.. some days I can’t even walk upstairs so the help and support I will receive will help me become me again. Without them o become a bigger burden to the NHS because there’s no services or GPs who know how to manage my symptoms and day to day living.
