"QEUH Day Care staff - outstanding patient care"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Out Patient Department

(as the patient),

The staff in the Day Care unit go above and beyond. The care I have received since being one of their patients from 25 weeks pregnant has been nothing but exceptional. They have made sure at various points of my pregnancy journey when things were going a little wrong that they explained in detail what was happening, what the plan would be and always made sure I was ok with it all. I ended up quite sickly at one wee point and if it wasn’t for the Day Care staff I would have just been at home not wanting to be a pest as I had already been discharged from another ward so I just assumed I was better, but they kept me coming back in to ensure I received the correct care and ultimately I was admitted again for further treatment.

A special thank you to Gillian, Fiona and Karen who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting most during my visits. However, I extend that thank you to all the staff as I have been cared for by them all at one point or another and each time the care has been second to none.

Dear My3

Thank you for your kind comments and feedback about the care you have received from the staff in Daycare at the QEUH. I will share this with the team and especially Gillian, Fiona and Karen.

It can be a worrying time when thigs go a little wrong and must have been reassuring for you to have a the support of the Daycare team.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family well.

Best Wishes

Elaine Drennan

Lead Midwife.
