"Low staffing"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

I feel annoyed and frustrated and stressed out about the lack of staff and the enhanced obs on the ward taking up the staff.

Staff are always saying they cant help us due to not having the right amount of staff, so feel like we are missing out on doing things and feeling staffs attitude towards patients isn't very nice sometimes.

We are always being put into our rooms due to patients making phone calls and there not being enough staff for this, which makes me feel annoyed and fed up.

I do feel supported by one of the senior staff but not so much by other staff.

Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns, I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations, and acknowledge the current staffing challenges, and increased clinical activity within our service. I would like to offer my assurance and that of your MDT, that we are all doing everything that we can at every level of the organisation to ensure that appropriate support is in place, recruitment is continuing and we have strategic and locally led discussions each day to ensure that the staff available are used to the best possible advantage. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly, if you would like to discuss this further. Kind Regards

James Routen
