"Had to make sure these staff know how amazing they are"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Elective admissions (CEAW) 4 south Craigavon Area Hospital / Theatres

(as a service user),

I would like to acknowledge the outstanding carenI received from start to finish on 4 South elective admissions.

From arrival I was greeted by the most friendly of nurses and auxiliary who put me at ease.

Pre op consent by Dr Knox and the anaesthetist Dr Clarke was very well informed and time given for any questions I had. I was put at ease and felt very confident I was in safe hands for surgery.

Particularly like to mention the anaesthetist Dr Clarke who was very good in theatre and talked me through everything in such a lovely manner.

Recovery on the ward. What can I say only 1st class staff. Special thanks to Lisa who was a superb advocate post op! I may have been woozy lol, but I was so thankful she had a voice for me.

I was kept overnight and moved around into a different bay.

Fantastic small ward with only 3 beds and our own toilet which was amazing post op when not very mobile and only able to walk a short distance.

ALL the staff here were top class. You could tell they all had a great rapore with eachother and they were so organised, coming from good leadership.

The care and attention all patients received was something I've never experienced in any other ward. The student Nurse Leah was a wee gem and will make one fantastic Nurse. Her diligent care and empathy was in abundance and any ward will be lucky to have her as staff nurse in the future.

I have had alot of negative experiences in my current health journey, but I had to make sure these staff know how amazing they are and how they make a difference post op to their patients. I would like to thank you ALL for your remarkable care.

Thank you all so so much ❤️
