"Eye operation"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

When I arrived on the word I was greeted by Susan who took me through my obs. Lovely lady.

The waiting area was long before I go my operation, 4 hours 30 mins,

This could be better if you did not send letter saying no mobile devices,

Making it a very long day, if there was a TV that might have passed quicker.

After my operation I was met by Marie she looked after me with a sandwich and cup tea. Taking my obs again, and going through my creams and paper work before I was allowed to go home.

Dear Biqbiff

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us.

We are glad to hear that Susan greeted you warmly and took good care of you during your initial assessment. It is wonderful to know that Marie also provided excellent post-operative care, ensuring you were comfortable with a sandwich and a cup of tea, and thoroughly explained everything before you went home.

We apologise for the length of time you waited for surgery. We understand how challenging this can be, especially without access to mobile devices or a TV to help pass the time. We will discuss this with the team.

I hope you are recovering well from your surgery.

Thank you for your feedback.

Take Care

Nicole
