My son recently received a dual diagnosis of ASD & ADHD.
Whilst ASD intervention appears to be comprehensive with clear pathways to various supports etc.
It seems, the same cannot be said for ADHD. No clear pathway for support/intervention. No sign posts. Doesn't appear to even be a person/team/department to contact to discuss the diagnosis, or options for support, treatments etc.
It's feels like the Trust have, very reluctantly, given the diagnosis and now I'm left to deal with this on my own for my child.
We're as ASD has a wealth of services and a dedicated team.
I wonder, why the disparity between conditions and services available? They are both neurological conditions that have a massive impact on a child and their family.
I am so frustrated and have been unable to find anyone to contact within the Trust.
I am now engaging with other providers put feel like the Trust have left us high and dry!
"No clear pathway for support/intervention"
