"Put my daughter at ease"

About: East Kilbride Locality Support Service / Treatment Room (East Kilbride)

(as a parent/guardian),

We visited Hunter Health Centre to have further bloods taken for my young daughter. We had been the previous week which my daughter eventually had done but took a bit of coaxing.

Having only been a week since having her bloods, my daughter was pretty committed to not wanting her bloods taken this time and got herself into a tizz. She’s never really had an issue prior to theses visits so unsure where her fear has come from.

After a nurse attempting to take the bloods and not quite getting there but after much trying,  Karen came and put my daughter at ease. Her humour, care and general angel like being had my daughter relaxed and less scared.

I really just want to praise Karen for her work and her care with my daughter in this instance. She was like a little angel that swooped in and got the job done. I genuinely appreciate all the care we receive from our NHS and having great staff is total key. Thankyou Karen x

Dear squatbq49

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback regarding our treatment room service in Hunter Health Centre. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter seems to have had a difficult time and was upset when attending to have her bloods taken. However, I am reassured to hear that Karen came to the rescue. Its good to hear that Karen was able to put your daughter at ease and made the procedure easier for her. I will pass your kind words onto Karen and thanks again for your feedback.

Ann
