"I am told I don't meet critical care criteria for bpd..."

About: Community Mental Health Teams

(as a service user),

I am told I don't meet critical care criteria for bpd.. that's already been diagnosed

I am writing a complaint based on a referral that has been been looked and apparently doesn't meet your criteria .

My doctor seen me back in November, I explained I had already been diagnosed with BPD and this is clearly still on my notes from 2019 .

I also explained that my BPD had got worse and also looking to wait for ADHD and autism referrals.

My doctor wrote a referral to explain I have BPD and this has got work I have psychosis and my self harm and my suicidal thoughts have increased to daily events and I feel unsafe and feel like I need to end my life as am not getting the help and support .

I was prescribed medication after a long fight after my diagnosis with BPD I had long assessments at Netherope house and northern general psychiatrist team interventions.

I came off these for a while I had a eating disorder and was not able to keep a lot of food down and started to manage my mind with not eating food and thinking I could manage .

I found my self not being able to do this and had rang my GP on multiple occasions and the mental health team explaining all of this .

I understand that my GP cannot give me my medication as it's been a while that can only be prescribed by a psychiatrist first for the first box again then the GP takes this over per discussions with mdt meetings .

I received a letter without any call to me explaining this or even a call from the mental heath team after me explaining all of this and how upset I have been and am having daily suicidal thoughts .

Your referral process if accepting patients as below:

All adults between the age of 18 and 65 irrespective of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, culture or physical abilities.

People who have substantial and complex mental health needs which cannot be met by primary care or the Sheffield Talking Therapies service.

Who will benefit the most from the Community Mental Health Team?

Those experiencing severe and persistent mental disorder which has a profound effect on their lives and requires a multi-disciplinary approach.

Those experiencing persistent disorders of lesser severity, but may need support with engaging with treatment and interventions and requiring proactive follow-up.

Those experiencing disorders where there is a significant risk of harm to themselves or others where the level of support and treatment exceeds that which other agencies can provide.

Those experiencing severe disorders of personality within a trauma informed framework which can be shown to benefit individuals by reducing trauma, suffering and distress.

Those who are willing and able to engage proactively with care and treatment.

I have mental heath disorder that's been confirmed by a psychiatrist am over 16

I am at risk I have a complex personality disorder which is one of the worse to deal with but yet apparently I don't fit into needing help and support from your care.

This is absolutely awful, I have contacted my GP who is also saddened to hear and will be sending a re-refferal as speaking to a higher practice manager and doctor to do this as they have seen me and could see my actual struggle face to face !

Mental heath is not able to be seen unless a person is actually seen or heard.

It's like I have to end my life to stop this pain and suffering with this disorder each day I don't want to do this but it's like the last resort!

I need this help and support and I will be taking this to the highest team, do people not understand that BPD causes the most deaths in mental heath, but apparently that doesn't fit a tick box ?

If you need to call me please ring me I would also ask for my to speak to my mum thou because I hate phone calls due to BPD, am self harming and no one cares.
