"Unprepared for my appointment"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) / Neurology

(as the patient),

After waiting 3 months to finally get an urgent appointment, I had to wait over an hour to see two registrars who seemed to want me in and out within 3 minutes.

These individuals had absolutely no idea why I was there and had done zero information gathering beforehand. They were completely unaware of previous scans and consultant reports and an A&E visit, then overnight stay.

I received a canned response of that tumour has probably been there for years, so see you next year.

This is totally false. The tumour was not anywhere when I had previously had a head and brain scan done.  They would have known that if they had taken a few minutes to do their homework to prepare for the appointment.

I will not put my health or life in jeopardy by accepting and being brushed off with their offhand see you next year, goodbye diagnosis.

I am now in the process of being referred to another neurologist.

An I-don't-care attitude has no place in any hospital and should never be adopted by anyone in the medical profession.
