"Help removed due to lack of funding"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

I was advised that the help I was receiving from Stobhill Hospital for physio was in the process of being removed due to lack of funding. I was unhappy because it was a help to me when I eventually had Physio available to me after suffering a fall. The whole health assessment From Golden Generation at Stobhill Hospital has been so important to me. I know that others are having difficulty awaiting appointments at their surgeries and I feel this should be available to sufferers and it allows for quicker health care from nhs. I have been discharged due to lack of funding but this is wrong and should not be allowed to happen.

When I first heard of The Golden Generation  being cared for in all aspects of their health and wellbeing, it gave me so much pride in my city of Glasgow, and when I was receiving all that, it included my healthcare with a consultant and nurses to do tests and scans and also included home visit of assessment. Please do not reduce or cancel such a wonderful caring department that is a credit to Glasgow.

I am responding to your request to confirm the service at Stobhill Hospital that I had been informed that funding was being removed from is The Golden Generation team. This is an amazing project and offers all aspects of healthcare for aged, and in my opinion allows to free up appointments elsewhere.

I was informed of a major change in the Physio department that would see no more additional patients due to lack of funding. This should not be allowed to happen. I feel sure the patients like myself who received physio and other services under the umbrella of The Golden Generation want to see this service receiving financial support to allow all healthcare that it has always provided for its elderly patients. The city of Glasgow was the first to have such a system and I know is a great example of how to ensure with proper support the quality of all aspects of healthcare is coordinated for The Golden Generation. I hope others will agree that funding should be made available to enable the community to benefit from this initiative.
