"Appointment mix up"

About: Mater Hospital / Macular Unit

(as a service user),

I am bewildered by what is going on at the macular clinic.

On my last visit they told me that they would mark me in for injection in 6 weeks knowing that it would be later, but I phoned the clinic to see when it was because it was due at before the end of December, the receptionist told me that my next injection was not till sometime in February, I queried this because this was not what I was told during my last visit in November.

As I queried this the receptionist told me that they would email the consultant about this and that I should hear from them, I wait in hope.

Dear Belfast eye

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent communication with the Macular Clinic. I apologise for any confusion over the scheduling of your next injection and would hope that you've since been allocated an appointment.

Kind regards

Ophthalmology Manager
