We have a disabled child, low functioning autistic with severe learning disabilities. He is a 10 year old but functions at 0 to 11 months. As such hospital visits are frequent, but highly stressful. The ward opened earlier at 7.45am so he could admit on his own. He was first seen by all involved in his surgery quickly, minimising his stress levels. Everyone - to a fault - were caring, supportive and loving to our little soldier, and made the whole experience the best it could be. From the ward sister Sophie and the nursing team, the anaesthetists Tom and Tom, the ENT surgeon and the dentistry team, they were all so caring. Much thanks from one sore but improving boy, and 2 grateful parents. They also all visited after to check in and look after him fully.
(Sorry we didn’t get all names - but so much thanks, you don’t know how much it means).
