I was admitted into cardiology following my initial assessment and overnight stay in another department where I was given the utmost attention and care from everyone who dealt with me during my stay prior to my angioplasty and my transfer to New Cross and back .
The cardiologist there was fantastic , despite some of my tests showing normal he had a hunch that something wasn’t right and that was proven on my first angioplasty where it identified a major problem in my coronary artery.
By having that hunch and me having a further procedure to have 2 stents fitted at New Cross no doubt saved my life .
Everyone from the cleanser , the tea ladies and of course the nurses looked after me and carried out regular checks to ensure my stay was as comfortable as it could possibly be and it’s really made me appreciate everyone who works in the NHS.
Overall the System of the NHS needs major investment and in some departments especially GPS needs a lot more sorting , there shouldn’t be ambulances stuck at hospitals for hours because they cannot release patients , or no beds available .but I still think the staff especially the ones I dealt with were exceptional and cannot praise them enough .
"Fabulous care for me"
