About: Sidwell Street Clinic / Exeter Sexual Health

(as a service user),

Generally good. Found corridor music to be way too loud for my misophonia and sensory issues.

Hi magpierj86,

Thanks for providing feedback about your visit to the service. Sorry that you felt the corridor music was too loud and affected your sensory issues. The reason we have music playing in the department is to protect confidentiality in the clinic, because otherwise patient care can be overheard from the clinic rooms by people sat in the waiting areas.

Sometimes staff get a bit too excited when setting up in the morning and can put the music on quite loudly. However, we can adjust the volume! If you come back to clinic and have the same concerns in future, please do mention to a member of the team that you are finding it difficult, and we will be happy to adjust it for your needs. I really hope this makes it a more positive experience for you.

With best wishes,

April Brooks

Lead Nurse
