"My thanks to everyone involved"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Therapies

(as a service user),

Arrived at Jubilee ward on one morning for a total hip replacement, met the ward sister, who put me at ease, showed me to my bed. I then saw the anaesthetist who talked me through the type of anaesthetic I would have, and then my consultant who told me about the procedure.

Had the operation that afternoon, all went well. The next morning the anaesthetist checked to see if I was ok as did my consultant, who explained a few things to me, he told me all went well, I went down for an x-ray, then saw the physio, who had me walking on crutches and also up and down stairs, everyone seemed to be happy, so I was discharged and home that afternoon.

My thanks to everyone involved

Dear carinaqt99

Thank you for taking the time to post your response following your recent total hip replacement on Jubilee ward.

It is always lovely to receive such positive feedback.

I am pleased that you felt at ease and everything explained to you.

You made remarkable progress following your surgery.

I will pass on your very kind comments to all involved with your care.

I hope that you are recovering well and wish you a continued recovery and all of the best for the future.

Kind Regards

Julie Pragnell
