"She makes me understand how to be happy again"

About: Community Mental Health Services / North Community Mental Health Team

(as the patient),

Anne-Marie from the Kirriemuir Community Mental Health Team has supported me for almost a year. She she has worked with me on my autism and given me coping strategies so I don’t feel that I am struggling to cope. I am grateful to have her and wish others understood me like she does. I feel like she understands me and makes me feel happy and when I feel bad she makes me understand how to be happy again.

Hello, my name is Ally McGurty and I am the Team Manager for the North Angus Community Mental Health Team. I want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is so lovely to hear that you have been given support from Ann-Marie and that this has been helpful to you in understanding who you are. It is so important for people who use our service to feel understood and supported and you have done so well in working with Ann-Marie to help you cope with the difficulties you face.

I will share your feedback with Ann-Marie and the team and I wish you all the very best going forward. How wonderful to hear that you can find a way to be happy again and we will continue to support people and to understand who they are and work with them, to move forward.

Many thanks

Ally McGurty

Clinical Team Manager
