I had to use the online triage system today on behalf of my husband who has myeloma and has just come out of hospital following a bout of flu and pneumonia. His mouth was full of painful ulcers which made it difficult for him to eat or speak and we didn't want this to continue over the Christmas period. I got a phone call within minutes of putting in the request and an appointment for him within the hour.
The GP was very understanding and sympathetic about his condition and prescribed mouthwash which is already starting to be effective.
This is the 3rd time I've used the triage system and on each occasion the outcome has been very satisfactory.
