"Why is no one listening"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I arrived at ULSTER HOSPITAL in the evening as sent straight up by GP out of hours  for suspected pancreatitis/EPI, was in the back on a trolley no idea how I got there no lie . As no one member is staff would tell me anything .

No bloods done and when I was screaming out in pain and asking for pain relief etc was told to shut up . I take MST at certain times and told them my GP had prescribed then to me, I tried to explain this bu the nurse walked off.  I had to call my husband in tears to bring me this up asap I was actually over due my hour which was 2 hours later before I got them. He try to speak with the same nurse who looked at him in disgust, and walked off.

I asked for anti sickness meds which told I would get never did and still no bloods . This went on til just after midnight til I was really bad with sickness as I was vomitting etc and  non digest food . So I had to try and get of the trolley and get help. A nurse who look at me actually turned her back on me like nothing wrong. Then I got over to the station were a dr was and asked for pain relief etc told my bloods haven’t came back told him I’ve not had my bloods done I need them done asap as this could very well be dangerous told me go back to bed and then nothing. I sat from for several hours,  no bloods or anything done I was in so much pain I called for a nurse  at the desk who shouts over my name and tells me to shut up etc this is uncalled for. early the next morning, finally bloods done no pain relief for another hour  and left there til day staff came on.

The nurse that was treating me that morning was so lovely couldn’t ask for anything more all meds give wow shocked dr seen me after 8 hours, she was so lovely and was surprised by surgerical team they were lovely everyone the next morning where great. Was so lucky I wasn’t kept in . I had a bad flare of EPI again .

All I’m saying is yes staff under pressure etc but no call to take it out on patients and telling them to shut and nothing wrong etc . I actually think I was overlooked again on sytem so please sort it. Remind staff of how to treat patients as I was near walking out and going to another hospital in the morning.
