St Margaret's Nursing Home, Fraddon, cared for my mother wonderfully for five years while she had vascular dementia, until she passed away in November last year.
St Margaret's is a small nursing home so the care of the residents feels very personal. Everyone knows everyone, the staff make time to chat to and get to know the elderly people, and whenever I visited I felt very welcome.
The surroundings are warm, light, airy and pleasant. In the summer the residents can sit outside in a sunny patio area. There is regular entertainment for the residents, such as craft activities, a visiting singer and even a therapy pony. My mother was happy there.
As my mother declined meticulous care was given to her comfort, her skin, and her nutrition and hydration. When she passed away the staff showed compassion and sympathy for my sister and me.
I was very satisfied with the care that the staff at St Margaret's gave to my mother and I would recommend St Margaret's to anyone searching for a nursing home for their relative.
