About: East Kilbride Locality Support Service / Treatment Room (East Kilbride)

(as the patient),

I  recently visited East Kilbride Treatment Rooms.

I was attended to by Emma.

The purpose of the visit was a PSA test having been recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

She was efficient in getting blood from my veins as that's not always straightforward.

She was cheerful too.

I was more than satisfied with the service provided

I know this will be a difficult time for you, given your recent diagnosis but I am so pleased to read that your experience having your bloods taken was a positive one, I will pass your kind words onto Emma.

Hi Ann

Thanks for your kind words and wishes.

Unfortunately I have since received a letter saying that my planned Urological Procedure under general anaesthetic has been cancelled.

That's a bummer because it could put me at greater risk of infection. A stent was put in my Ureter in May last year, normally these are exchanged every 5 or 6 months.

Hey ho, I can't complain as the NHS have been great to me these past few years.

Onwards and upwards.
