"They helped pull me out of a dark hole"

About: Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as a service user),

I was referred to ISS in a very bad time. Within hours they calmed me down. They really looked after me and supported me with medication. The support workers were lovely and empathetic.

Only negative is the support doesn’t last long and they push you off the ledge so to speak. Their next option is primary care which is not as thorough as them, plus you can be waiting weeks for support.

I just feel they need to be around longer as I feel like I’m one push away from crisis still and yet I’m being discharged.
