"The care my mother has received"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Care of the Elderly

(as a relative),

My mother, who has dementia, has been in ward 6 for several weeks. I have been visiting her on a daily basis. I would like to thank everybody involved with this ward, from the bottom of my heart, for all they do for our loved ones. They treat each of their charges with dignity, respect and compassion. They have a difficult job but approach it with energy and professionalism.

As somebody (who does not live in this country but whose mother does) who has countless questions and concerns about their mother and her care, they have always made themselves available to assure and explain to me what is happening and going to happen with my mother. 'Thank you' seems rather inadequate for the amazing job this team does in ward 6 but it is all I have.  Thank you all! ❤️

Dear Berwyn50,

Thank you for taking the time to post this lovely feedback, I am happy to read that the experience of time spent in ward 6 for your mother and yourself has been so positive. The team hope to provide support not only to the person in their care but also friends relatives and carers who visit them in the ward. I will make sure that the team are aware of this feedback they will be delighted as they work hard to provide high quality care and it is great to have this acknowledged. I hope everything continues to go well for you both.

Kind regards

Kim

Dear Berwyn50,

Thank you so much for your kind message. It is great for us to hear that your mother is receiving the care and attention she deserves. The team in Ward 6 work tirelessly to ensure that each patient is treated with compassion and dignity, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that their efforts are making a difference for you and your family.
