"I couldn't rate the staff enough"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Outpatient Services

(as a service user),

I had a Hysteroscopy last week. I was absolutely terrified as I was worried about the pain and just generally feeling uncomfortable dignity wise. 

From the moment I was greeted by the Nurse, Ally, I was instantly made to feel better and my nerves were calmed. 

I couldn't rate the staff enough, they were so kind and made me feel so much better during the whole process. As for the procedure, it was not half as bad as I thought, it was very quick, I didn't feel completely exposed, and I was given gas and air. I am glad I had it in the outpatients as it was a quick procedure and not something I would worry about if I had to have it again. The staff were fabulous, Ally, Yvonne, Amanda and Sarah & Dr Smith.

Hello snowpd36,

thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our department. We sincerely hope that tales such as yours will go a long way in reassuring future patients who may have to had the same procedure.

Although never a procedure we are comfortable having to have done I am pleased to read that your dignity was maintained and that your fears were allayed and most tellingly, that if you had to return you would do so.

I have passed on your kind words to the team involved. I wish you a speedy recovery!
