"The whole procedure was remarkably painless"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I was looked after many Sarah, Asha, Helena and Alison. Sarah explained everything everything very carefully beforehand including answering my questions.

I felt treated with great kindness, care, respect, compassion and professionalism throughout by the whole team. And due to their skill and kindness (and the advice to take painkillers beforehand) the whole procedure was remarkably painless and nothing like the stories I’d read online. I felt respected, cared for, listened to and safe throughout.

Thank you so much to all the team.

Hello Salsb85,

reading of your experience in our department explains why many of us look forward to going into work. Our team work well and are a great team to work with.

I am delighted to read that your procedure was so much better than you expected and we, as a team, hope that experiences such as yours become more known, rather than the less pleasant experiences one tends to hear about. We often find that “most” ladies tolerate the procedure very well, which is not always what they expect.

I have informed the team of your kind words.

I wish you a speedy recovery!
